After the preliminary investigation, they admitted that they entered into the Indian territory in Tripura by illegally crossing the Narayan border with the help of Indian Linemen for which they paid Rs 12000 of Bangladesh currency for each. The Indian Linemen namely Bimal also provided them fake Indian identity cards and Aadhar cards in exchange of Rs 1000 of Bangladesh currency per card, said police.

We launched a hunt to track down the ‘Agents’ who are facilitating the infiltration of the people from Bangladesh. The agents locally known as ‘Linemen’ are active in specific border areas marked for the intrusion from across the border.
