Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said under his visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the present government has ushered in a remarkable era of governance free from the taint of corruption.

Addressing in an election rally at Dhanpur on Saturday said, “PM Narendra Modi strongly believes that the all-round development of Tripura will not be possible if people are not economically and socially empowered.”

“Prime Minister Modi is working to run a corruption free government. Earlier governments meant scams and corruption. Another name of transparent government is PM Modi’s government. Without PM Modi development is not possible and no one can think of it. He always keeps himself busy for the welfare and development of the people, he added.

“The Communist party has failed to empower women rather the women were forced to join communist rallies during the last 25 years of their rule in Tripura,” he said, adding that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre worked and brought a new dimension to women empowerment across the country.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday targeted the I.N.D.I.A alliance and said that the alliance will collapse with the elements vanishing with the election drawing near. Saha also slammed both the Congress and the CPI-M here in Tripura and said, “It is very unfortunate to see the CPI-M state secretary, also the leader of opposition visiting the congress bhavan while the Congress candidate for West parliamentary constituency visiting the CPI-M office.”

He predicted that the CPI(M) and Congress, both constituents of the opposition I.N.D.I.A alliance, would soon be marginalised due to their flawed policies.
