In a major clampdown on Marijuana (Ganja) cultivation, the Tripura police along with TSR on Wednesday uprooted over 75, 500 Marijuana (Ganja) plants at Ulukhla village under Jatrapur police station.The police stated that they received a crucial tip-off, on the basis of the tip-off police personnel from Jatrapur police station and TSR jawans took decisive action at Ulukhla village by uprooting over 75,500 Marijuana (Ganja) plants.A police official said “Our operation was a resounding success, and we are committed to curbing drug cultivation in the region. We destroyed 75,500 Marijuana (Ganja) plants and the estimated market value of the destroyed Marijuana (Ganja) cultivation is approximately Rs 50 lakh.”
