Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Sunday said teachers imparted knowledge and wisdom thereby showing the path for future citizens and played a key role in building and strengthening the ethical and moral foundations of students.

Addressing in the inaugural ceremony of Tripura Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shaikshik Sangh’s Annual General Meeting 2023 at Maharaja Bir Bikram auditorium, Tripura University, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said educational institutions are sacred places. Here children are taught to be real human beings. State government will not tolerate any disorder in educational institutions, he added.

The Chief Minister also said that due to the strong efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing in every field including the education sector. At the recently held G-20 summit in India, the Prime Minister strongly expressed the desire to make India a global leader. For this reason, special importance has been given to the expansion of quality education. The teaching of the teachers and their motivational speeches make a deep impression on the minds of the students. Which paves the way for future students? Teachers also have an important role in the mental development of students, he added.

 The BJP-led Tripura government is working sincerely towards overall development of the Education system in our state. Priority has been given to provide quality education to the students of the state through the development of educational infrastructure. The state government is also implementing various programs giving importance to education, headed.

He also asserted that his government has been working on enhancing opportunities in higher education so that students do not need to go outside the state to pursue higher studies. He also urged students to be attentive in classrooms and participate in discussions, debates and other co-curricular activities. Tripura government has been giving more importance to the development of the education sector and the main goal of Tripura government is to offer such an environment to students that may help students to get the opportunity to qualify national level competitive exams, he added.

Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University Dr. Gangaprasad Prasain, General Secretary of Tripura Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shaikshik Sangh Theertharam Reang and others were also present.
