Govt working to develop Tripura as education hub, says Minister Sudhangshu Das
Minister of SC Welfare, Fishery & ARDD Department Sudhangshu Das on Wednesday said the present state government is sincerely working to develop Tripura as an education hub.
Addressing in laying of foundation stone of construction of computer education building in Jagannathpur High School and also inauguration of newly constructed science building of Jagannathpur High School minister of SC Welfare, Fishery & ARDD Department Sudhangshu Das said that the State Government is keen to make Tripura national and international education hub. He also asserted that his government has been working on enhancing opportunities in higher education so that students do not need to go outside the state to pursue higher studies. He also urged students to be attentive in classrooms and participate in discussions, debates and other co-curricular activities.
“Tripura government has been giving more importance for the development of the education sector and the main goal of the Tripura government is to offer such an environment to students that may help students to get the opportunity to qualify national level exams like IAS, IPS, IES and all.
He said, “Various government and private educational institutions including general degree college, university, law college, National Forensic College, medical college and dental college have been set up in the state presently. Initiatives will be taken up to set up education hub in the state in the future based on these.”
