Tripura Pradesh Congress celebrated Quit India Movement Day on Wednesday. The program started with hoisting of National Flag at Agartala Congress Bhavan and the leaders paid floral tribute to the martyrs.

Speaking to the reporters, President of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC)  Asish Kumar Saha said, the resolution of Quit India movement was passed on August 8 1942 at the Mumbai session of AICC. The “Bharat Chhodo Andolan”, had begun under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi who came up with the slogan “Do or Die”.

MLA Gopal Roy, AICC secretary in-charge Szarita Laitphlang and other leaders were present.
