The BJP-led Tripura government has given utmost importance to build self-reliant Tripura said minister of Power, Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare and Election Department Ratan Lal Nath while addressing in the inaugural ceremony of “Mega Credit Camp” organized by Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission and Mohanpur Block Mission Management Unit at Mohanpur on Wednesday.
Various plans are being implemented to build self-reliant Tripura. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wants to build a self-reliant India. Tripura will be prosperous if villages become prosperous, the State will attain self-reliance if villages emerge self-reliant, the State Government is working to empower rural people especially the womenfolk, said Ratan Lal Nath.
The present government is trying to make Tripura a self-sufficient state by making everyone, especially women, self-reliant from the village level. People in rural areas are being made self-reliant through self-help groups. The community investment fund of self-help group has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand. Government is providing support to Self Help Groups in various ways. So that members associated with Self Help Groups can become self-reliant, he added.
