The Lawyers have a major role to play in building a healthy society. There is a need to further strengthen coordination between Lawyers & Police to ensure punishment to the criminals in all types of cases including NDPS said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while addressing in a interactive meeting with all the Presidents & Secretaries of different Bar Associations organized by Law department at Pragna Bhavan on Saturday.
Our government is committed to solving the infrastructure related issues for the convenience of Lawyers & Bar members. Making ‘Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura’ is not possible without lawyers. Lawyers have a leading role in protecting the country’s constitution, he added.
Care should be taken to ensure that people are not harassed by going to court. In addition, lawyers have the responsibility to ensure that people get justice in cases quickly. People have a lot of hope on lawyers. If the case is settled quickly, the relief of people also increases, said Dr. Saha.
The Chief Minister also said that the law and order situation in the state is now good. He said that the state government has allocated more in the budget with emphasis on infrastructural development.
Law Secretary Biswajit Palit, Additional Law Secretary Asith Debnath and others were present.
