One dies in road mishap
In a tragic road mishap one 22 year old boy died in front of Teliamura town hall under Teliamura police station on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Rustom Debbarma (22) resident of Teliamura.
It was reported that a scooty bearing number TR 06B 9436 while going towards Teliamura while trying to overtake a container vehicle bearing number AS01QC1073 which was going towards Agartala lost control. As a result the scooty rider Rustom Debbarma (22) was crushed by the container vehicle bearing number AS01QC1073 and died on the spot. The container vehicle driver fled away along with his vehicle after the accident.
The locals rushed to the spot and informed the fire service and the police. After getting the information fire service personnel and police rushed to the spot and took the lifeless body of Rustom Debbarma to Teliamura Sub-division Hospital. After receiving the news the family members of Rustom Debbarma rushed to the hospital and burst into tears. The body of deceased Rustom Debbarma will be handed over to the family members after post-mortem, said cops.
On the other hand, police managed to arrest the container vehicle driver and his co-driver at Hawai Bari Naka point. The arrested driver has been identified as Inamul Haque and his co-driver Sajeed Abdullah both residents of Assam. Police brought both the arrested to Teliamura Police Station. A specific case has been registered in this regard, said police.
