The government is working with various plans for overall welfare of the state as well as its people. Government aims to build a self-reliant Tripura, said Minister of Power, Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare and Election Department Ratan Lal Nath after inaugurating the office of the Superintendent of Agriculture at Belbari on Thursday.

He said, moving line with the centre and under the guidance of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government is putting an utmost effort in building a self-reliant state. Various plans are being implemented to build self-reliant Tripura. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wants to build a self-reliant India. Tripura will be prosperous if villages become prosperous, the State will attain self-reliance if villages emerge self-reliant, the State Government is working to empower rural people, he added.

Referring to the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ Minister of Power, Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare and Election Department Ratan Lal Nath said the initiative would connect every eligible person with public welfare schemes. The nationwide ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day on November 15. The Yatra involves direct contact with the common people, raising awareness among them and providing them access to sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable health services, clean drinking water, etc, he added.

Tripura government is working as per its commitment to enhance the farmers’ income across the state. Tripura government is working with utmost importance to give all types of facilities to the farmers of the state. This step has been taken to make ‘Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura’. The government is working for the welfare of the people from all parts of the state. Several steps have been taken to improve the standard of living of the people, he added. Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury, Director of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Sharadindu Das, , MLA Biswajit Kalai, MLA Swapna Debbarma, MDC Ganesh Debbarma, Secretary of Agriculture Department Apoorba Ro, Chairman of Belbari BAC Roken Debbarma were present in the inaugural ceremony.
