Transforming life of a tea garden worker in Tripura – Arjun Singh Sonar with PM Awas Yojna drew the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday during the interaction programmes with beneficiaries across the country through video conference.

Among the thousands of beneficiaries across the country, PM Modi on Wednesday interacted with the tea garden worker of Tripura’s East Bamutia Gram Panchayat – Arjun Singh Sonar. The tea garden worker in a virtual event, organized in the Bamutia Tehsil office premises.

Elaborating the benefit he received from PM Awas Yojna, Arjun Singh Sonar informed PM Modi that his life transformed as he shifted from a kacha house to a pucca house after availing 1.3 lakh rupees assistance under PM Awas Yojna.

On being asked about the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra vehicle by PM Modi, Arjun replied saying that he along with other villagers gathered soon after the vehicle reached to their area and welcomed it enthusiastically. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that beneficiaries are getting the benefits of the government schemes without much hassle.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said “this campaign to connect with the resolve of a developed India is continuously expanding. It has not been even 50 days since the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra started, but till now this Yatra has reached 2.25 lakh villages. This is a record in itself.” he thanked everyone, especially women and youth for making it a success.
