The state sports and youth affairs minister Tinku Roy on Wednesday attended a workshop of ‘Yuva Tripura, New Tripura’ organized by the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC) and encouraged the youths to become self-reliant and grow the country.
Addressing the workshop held here at Agartala International Fair Ground, the minister called for more empowerment of youths of Tripura and said that the empowering youths can play a crucial role in developing the nation and build self-reliant India.
Under the initiative of ‘Yuva Tripura, New Tripura’ at least 100 interested youths between the age group of 18-45 from every district of the state will be registered through District Industries Centre. Moreover, an exposure visit to Budjongnagar and R K Nagar industrial estates will be arranged for those youths.
“In 2014 since Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister, the country has been progressing rapidly in the fields of industry, commerce, work culture, education etc.,” the minister said, adding that the youths of Tripura can become self-reliant by setting up their industries, which will also generate employment opportunities for other unemployed youths.
