Mimi seeks blessing from old aged mother to lead International women’s day celebration
The BJP’s state Mahila Morcha President Mimi Majumder, who has been working round the clock for women empowerment moving in line with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, on Friday sought blessings from old aged mothers to lead the celebration of women’s day.
Mimi Majumder accompanied by her women force visited the ‘Apna Ghar’ at Agartala Barjala and sought blessing from the old age mothers. She said that ‘Nari Shakti’ and women empowerment begins from mothers and there is a need to remember mothers to celebrate women’s day.
She thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his dedication of work for women empowerment and said, “People of this country on Friday witnessed yet another dedication of PM Modi, where he announced reduction of LPG cooking gas cylinder by Rs. 100. PM Modi and his government is working diligently to ensure empowerment of women in every sector.”
“PM Modi and his government had shown how women can be empowered like that of Draupadi Murmu being the President of India and Nirmala Sitharaman being the Finance Minister of the country,” she said.
Thanking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his effort in bringing women across the country to the frontline, Mimi Majumder read out the tweet of Modi which reads, “Greetings on International Women’s Day! We salute the strength, courage, and resilience of our Nari Shakti and laud their accomplishments across various fields. Our government is committed to empowering women through initiatives in education, entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology and more. This is also reflected in our accomplishments in the last decade.”
