With the announcement of the schedule of the Lok Sabha elections for the state of Tripura along with the rest of the nation, the ruling BJP has geared up to gain the poll ground through its campaign in support of the two candidates for the two parliamentary constituencies of the state.
The BJP Mahila Morcha President and former MLA Mimi Majumder on Thursday launched her door-to-door campaign in support of the party’s candidate for the West Tripura parliamentary constituency and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
During her campaign, Mimi Majumder expressed her confidence of sweeping the poll and claimed that people in Tripura along with the other parts of the country want Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister for the third consecutive term for more development to the nation.
“I began my poll campaign today, where I could witness a large response from every section of people at Hrishipara at Pratapgarh. A large section of common people irrespective of their caste and religion joined my door-to-door campaign,” Majumder told reporters.
