Tripura: Two Bikes recovered; 3 lifters arrested
In a successful attempt, Police personnel from East Agartala police station on Thursday nabbed three motorcycle lifters and recovered two stolen motor bikes from Agartala railway station. The arrested motorcycle lifters have been identified as Tutan Das, Rubel Hossain and Biswajit Saha.
The police stated that based on secret information, Police personnel from East Agartala police station laid a trap and arrested Tutan Das from Kemper Bazar area. After interrogating Tutan Das revealed the names of his two sub-ordinates, who were also arrested from two different places and were produced before the court.
During the past several months, the capital city police have arrested a number of thieves and motor bike lifters involved in a series of stolen incidents and after the arrest of these criminals, the growing number of stolen incidents across Agartala has also started decreasing.
