Just ahead of the Lok Sabha election 2024, 82 voters from 21 families left various parties and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Monika Das Datta on Friday at Pratapgarh. Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Monika Das Datta handed over the party flags to them in the joining ceremony.Addressing in the joining ceremony Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Monika Das Datta said, 82 voters from 21 families left various parties and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She also expressed hope that people will leave various parties and will join BJP in the coming days. The BJP-led Tripura government is working for overall development of the people of the state. The Narendra Modi government scaled up various welfare schemes keeping the poor in focus and expedited their implementation. The Modi government scaled up schemes and enhanced speed to achieve targets so that they reached the last person in society, she added. The state BJP is determined to gift “two lotuses” to PM Modi in the Lok Sabha election. The state has two Lok Sabha seats that have been with the BJP since 2019.
