ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED JOINT MEDICAL CAMP FOR BRU REFUGEES
Assam Rifles organised a one day joint Medical and Dental camp for Bru refugees alongwith district health department at Silachera, Gomati District in Tripura on 16 April 2024.
The Medical Camp was inaugurated by the Commandant Assam Rifles. A total of 412 refugees were screened for various ailments and given consultation & medicines during the camp. Four Medical Officers (MO) including two MO from district health department carried out the medical camp.
The Objective of the camp was to give medical advice & medicines and refer them for specialized treatment if required. The team of doctors also carried out hygiene and sanitation check of the Refugees camp of Silachera.
The Rehabilitation centre chief Mr Lalding Bru and all the refugees expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for organising the much needed Medical camp at the rehabilitation centre.
