In continuous endeavor to motivate the youth of Tripura to join Assam Rifles/ Indian Armed Forces, Assam Rifles conducted a two day Training Camp for NCC cadets on 30 & 31 May at Agartala.
The Camp was organised with the aim to give a glimpse of the life of an Assam Rifles Soldier to the cadets and encourage them to join the Armed Forces. The cadets were acquainted with the operational aspects and training activities of the Assam Rifles which includes Obstacle crossing, Slithering, Rappelling, familiarisation with defences layout including the bunkers and the mine field on the first day. On the second day of the camp, various competitions and personality development activities like group discussion, two minutes lecturate, debate competition, short essay writing were organised. Besides, to promote physical fitness among the cadets some athletic events and sports competitions like soccer, basketball, Volleyball were also organised for the cadets.
A total of 136 (both male and female cadets) actively participated in the two day camp.
