In yet another major crackdown on illegal infiltration, the Government Railway Police Station (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) along with BSF personnel on Saturday 23 Bangladeshi nationals from the Agartala Railway Station.
The Officer-in-Charge of the Government Railway Police Station Tapas Das informed there was information about the arrival of some Bangladesh nationals, on the basis of the information the GRP, RPF along with BSF personnel detained 23 Bangladeshi nationals from the Agartala Railway Station. The Bangladeshi nationals had arrived in India in search of jobs and were arrested while trying to board a train to move to other states via Guwahati.
The arrested Bangladeshi nationals were identified as Ram Saha (24), Md Asmaul Hoque (20), Sahin Alam (28), Jakir Hossain (40), Md Sahin Ali (26), Ibrahim Khalil (23), Nayan Ali (19), Md Ilahi Hossain (21), Md Taib Hossain (19), Md Dalim alias Iman (19), Mohd, Abdul Ajij, Md Saiful Islam (25), Sahabuddin Shek (33), Mohd. Shahidul Islam (20), Mohd. Suman (26), Mohd. Amirul Islam (24), Ali Akbar (36), Sakil Shek (19), Hajikul Babu (26), Ramjan Shek (19), Mohd. Mijanur (24), Mohd. Rehan Sk (19) and Md Selim Reja (27).
