500 liters of country-made liquor seized by police, detains two
Police on Saturday seized 500 liters of country-made liquor, arrested two persons and seized a vehicle bearing number TR 07A0343 at Madhupur.
The police stated that, they received a information on the basis of the information police personnel from Madhupur police station stopped a vehicle bearing number TR 07A0343 at Madhupur. During the search of the vehicle police officials found around 500 liters of country-made liquor hidden inside the vehicle. Police arrested two persons who were in the vehicle. The arrested persons have been identified as Samir Sarkar and Uttam Dutta. The vehicle has been also seized. They will be produced before the court, said police.
Moreover, the estimated value of the confiscated country-made liquor in the illicit market amounts to approximately Rs 70,000.
