Assam Rifles on Wednesday organised a medical camp at Amarpur Relief Camp in Gomti district.The medical camp in the flood-affected region has been instrumental in offering critical healthcare services, including treatment for waterborne diseases, first aid, and general health check-ups. Additionally, the dental camp has addressed oral health issues exacerbated by the adverse conditions, offering examinations and other necessary dental procedures.A team comprising of two doctors and medical staff of Assam Rifles along with Medical Officer and staffs of District Hospital conducted the medical camp, benefitting 442 local villagers. Assam Rifles distributed medicines, sanitary pads and hygiene kits to the local population alongwith other relief material.The initiative is part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing commitment to disaster relief and community support. The troops have worked tirelessly to rescue more than 2000 people from flood-hit areas and is committed in rehabilitation of displaced people.
