In yet another crackdown on illegal infiltration, Tripura police arrested three Bangladeshi nationals from RMS chowmuhani area on Sunday.The officer in-charge of the West Agartala Police Station Paritosh Das informed based on a specific information, police personnel from West Agartala police station have detained three bangladeshi nationals. The arrested bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Tasmin, Imran and Jashid all of them residents of Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. After the preliminary investigation, the Bangladeshi nationals admitted that they entered into the Indian territory in Tripura by illegally crossing the border through Lonkamura area on Sunday. A specific case has been registered against the arrested Bangladeshi nationals. They will be produced before the court on Monday seeking police remand, Paritosh Das added.He further said that on August 29 they have arrested one Bangladeshi national MD Suman from Lankamura area. During interrogation he revealed more two names, on the basis of the information Police personnel from West Agartala Police Station on Friday arrested two Bangladeshi nationals from city centre area.We launched a hunt to track down the ‘Agents’ who are facilitating the infiltration of the people from Bangladesh. The agents locally known as ‘Linemen’ are active in specific border areas marked for the intrusion from across the border. The places are fenced and guarded, but the ‘Linemen’ have the access and the ability to transfer the people through safe corridors in lieu of money. Most of the infiltration bids occurred during the night and the Agents arranged ladders on both sides of the fencing to smuggle men and women who pay for the service, said the police officer.
