The troops of Assam Rifles spotted a huge snake on the periphery of the Udaipur Training Node of Assam Rifles on Friday. Reacting immediately the villagers nearby were alerted and the local police and forest officials were informed about the same. The forest department swiftly despatched a team of professional snake handlers who skilfully retrieved the reptile without causing harm to it. The snake was identified as the Indian black rock python with a length of 11 feet and approximately weighed 40 kgs. No damage was caused to any life or property during the incident.
