Tripura: Woman dies after hit by train
A 60 year old woman died after being hit by a Dharmanagar-Agartala local train at D.M Colony area of Teliamura subdivision on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Rasbala Sarkar (60) was a resident of D.M Colony area and was mentally ill for quite some time. Initially, it is believed that this tragic incident took place because the old woman was mentally ill and went on the railway line due to delusion. After getting the information police personnel from Teliamura police station and Police personnel from Teliamura GRP police station rushed to the spot.
According to Teliamura GRP Police, the women died due to the impact of the train. But till now the exact reason behind the death is unknown whether it is an accident, suicide or is there any mystery behind it. Only after a proper police investigation it will come out, the Teliamura GRP Police mentioned.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and after that the body will be handed over to the family members, said police.
