Police seizes 600 Yaba Tablets, two detained

Tripura Police arrested two persons and seized six hundred Yaba Tablets from RK Pur Naka Point in Damcherra on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip off, Police personnel from Damcherra police station laid a trap and intercepted the vehicle bearing number AS 11F 4400 at RK Pur Naka Point in Damcherra and arrested them.
During the search, police officials found six hundred Yaba Tablets from them. The two arrested have been identified as Karanti Reang (28) resident of Bahadur para under Khedacherra police station and Kabir Ahmed (24) resident of North Berajama in Karimganj district of Assam state under Patharkandi police station.
The two accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
