For smooth traffic management the Tripura traffic police have started an enforcement drive across the capital against the vehicles parked in no-parking zones and causing obstruction or inconvenience. As a part of this drive Tripura traffic police today conducted a enforcement drive in the Jaganath bari road area against the vehicles parked in no-parking zones. During the drive several vehicles were found parked in no-parking zones. Tripura traffic police officials have fined Rs 500 to all the vehicles parked in no-parking zones.
Speaking to the reporters during the enforcement drive Traffic police DSP Pranab Das said City’s traffic police unit is geared up to rid the state capital of the menace of haphazardly parked vehicles causing road congestion.
On being asked about the encroachments on footpaths by street vendors Traffic police DSP Pranab Das said that soon along with Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) officials, District Administration officials we will conduct a drive to remove the street vendors from the footpaths.
