TripuraheraldTripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has announced the results of the Tripura Civil Service exam 2023. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website tpsc.tripura.gov.in.
The TPSC TCS 2022 preliminary written exam was conducted on April 2 in centres across Tripura. The provisional answer keys were released on April 24 and objections were accepted till May 2. The results have been calculated considering the final answer key prepared with consideration of the objections raised. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up a total of 40 vacancies, of which 30 vacancies are in Tripura Civil Service and 10 in Tripura Police Service.

She alleged that the Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Burman is cheating with the innocent Motha workers here in the state in the name of ‘Greater Tipraland’.
Her allegation came up on Tuesday after at least three persons who had quit the TIPRA Motha party and joined the BJP in a joining programme at Ompinagar, were attacked.
She alleged, “At one end the TIPRA Motha chairman is meeting our Chief Minister and BJP party leaders secretly and sometime he is seen flying to Delhi and Guwahati to meet our party leaders and on the other the innocent Tiprasas in the Motha party here are made to sit for protest in the name of Geater Tipraland demand.”
As many as 87 tribals from 33 families at Ompinagar had quit the TIPRA Motha party and joined the BJP on Tuesday in a joining programme. Following this a section of unruly Motha workers discovered an attack on three persons identified as Dhanaram Reang, Upendra Reang and another Dharendra Reang and left them injured, alleged Patal Kanya Jamatia. The incident took place while they were returning from the joining programme.
She rushed to the Ompinagar hospital to visit the injured persons and alleged that worried about the party’s existence, the TIPRA Motha is discovering an attack on the workers of the BJP party.
Jamatia accompanied by other BJP leaders of Ompinagar assembly constituency handed over the BJP party flag with the newly joined workers to welcome them in the party.

TripuraheraldSix persons were injured including a twelve year old girl when a auto bearing number TR 06 2644 overturned and fell into a paddy field at Khowai Sonatala Majumdar para on Tuesday. The injured persons are identified as Papiya Rudra Pal resident of Khowai Chebri area, Jayshree Deb resident of Khowai Sonatala, Ajay Das resident of Khowai Tabla bari, Monika Deb Dhar and her daughter Mista Dhar (12) residents of Khowai Ramchandra Ghat and Hirendra Chandra Shill Khowai Sonatala.
It was reported that the auto bearing number TR 06 2644 was heading towards chebri from Khowai motor stand, while overtaking another vehicle at Khowai Sonatala Majumdar para the auto overturned and fell into a paddy field. As a result all of the six passengers got injured.
The locals rushed to the spot and informed the fire service. After getting the information fire service personnel rushed to the spot and took them to the Khowai district hospital. From their two injured persons were referred to GB hospital.
According to the eyewitnesses the accident occurred due to the reckless driving of the auto driver.

Ker is considered the guardian deity of Vastu Devata is of the state of Tripura from the Royal Period. A large piece of bamboo bent in a particular fashion assumes the image of Ker and is fast rotated to produce a sound.
“The customary rules and traditions of Ker Puja are not easy to follow. All pregnant women, diseased and dying are kept out of the specified Puja area”, said a priest.
The literal meaning of Ker is boundary or specified area from where no one is allowed to enter or come out for two and a half day during the celebration.
The puja rituals are carried out at government expense as the Tripura government has been holding good its promise to the state’s erstwhile royal family for over the decades to organise the puja. During Ker Puja, all kinds of amusement, recreation and ceremonies are banned in the notified areas.

Pant hospital) and handed over check of Rs 15,000 on behalf of the Tapshili Nation Welfare Department and Fisheries Department to the injured persons of Ulta Rath Yatra tragic incident which occurred on June 28 when the chariot of Lord Jagannath came in contact with high-tension wire in Kumarghat under the Unakoti district.
Minister of SC Welfare,Fishery & ARDD Department Sudhangshu Das also met their family members of the injured persons at the hospital, as well as discussed with the doctors in charge of the treatment of the injured and discussed about better treatment of the wounded and prayed for their speedy recovery.
It is to be mentioned here that, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has already ordered a magisterial inquiry into the tragic incident of Ulta Rath Yatra in which seven have people lost their lives after the chariot of Lord Jagannath came in contact with high-tension wire in Kumarghat under the Unakoti district.
Not only that, the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has also announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased. The government will also bear all the expenses for the treatment of the injured, while victims with burn injuries exceeding 60 per cent will receive Rs 2.50 lakh and those with burn injuries ranging from 40 to 60 per cent will be given Rs 74,000 as compensation.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Traffic Manik Das said that strict enforcement against vehicles causing obstruction or inconvenience will be taken. Several areas in the city have been identified where the people park their vehicles in no parking zones which causes traffic congestion. To solve this problem we will organize public awareness campaign for smooth traffic management. If then also the problem does not ends, strict enforcement against vehicles causing obstruction or inconvenience will be taken, he added.
On being asked about the encroachments on footpaths by street vendors Superintendent of Police (SP) Traffic Manik Das said that soon along with Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) officials, District Administration officials we will conduct a drive to remove the street vendors from the footpaths.

Addressing in a programme organized by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik said the BJP’s double-engine government at the Centre and in the State is gradually turning Tripura into a “trade gateway and logistics hub” of northeast India. During the programme Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik distributed 94 motorized tricycles to Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities).
Tripura has progressed a lot, including infrastructure development, good governance and other services, since 2018 when the BJP-Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) government came to power in the state. Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik pointed out that much development has taken place in the state in the areas of highways, railways and digitisation. A lot of development has also taken place in the areas of digitisation and railway connectivity. The schemes of the both the central and state governments have also helped the state a lot,” she said.
Tripura has created a model of ‘good governance and protection of people’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of the state would have to carry forward the tradition, she added.
The BJP-led Tripura government is working for overall development of the people of the state. Our main aim is to how we can help people and how they can be benefitted. Our government is working to provide all kinds of benefits to people and keeping a close eye on their problems. Our main priority is to solve the basic problems of common people, she added.

TripuraheraldThe state government has set a target to procure at least 35,000 Metric Tonnes (MT) of paddy directly from the farmers, starting from July 11. Minister for food and civil supplies Sushanta Chowdhury on Monday chaired a high level review meeting here at the secretariat through video conferencing with the officials of the concerned departments.
During the meeting the minister said that the department along with the state agriculture department is jointly working to directly purchase 35,000 metric tonnes of paddy from farmers during the current Rabi season, beginning from July 11. The procurement will be made at a minimum support price of Rs 2, 040 per quintal, he said.
As part of the process of procurement, at least 40 centres will be opened across the state, where a single farmer can sell up-to 50 quintals of paddy.
The minister has instructed the officials to ensure that farmers are not harassed in any way while selling paddy and also to keep a close watch to ensure that farmers are not forced to sell paddy at less than the minimum support price.
Special Secretary Raval Hemendra Kumar, Director of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Sharadindu Das, Additional Director Animesh Debbarma, among other officials were present in the meeting.

The Kamalasagar-Tarapur border haat was shut during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is expected to reopen by the end of July, said Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Bishalgarh Binoy Bhusan Das.
Border haats are weekly markets along the India-Bangladesh border where vendors from both countries sell their products. In Tripura, there are two border haats which are the Srinagar border haat situated in the South district of Tripura, and the Kamalasagar-Tarapur border haat located in the Sepahijala district.
It is to be mentioned here that on July 15 officials from both countries have conducted an assessment of the Kamalasagar-Tarapur border haat market. Representatives from Bangladesh, including Kasba Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mohammad Amimul Ehsan Khan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sanjib Sarkar, Upazila Engineer Md Saiful Islam, and from Tripura, Engineers A Debnath, Sabyasachi Debnath, Bishalgarh BDO Anurag Sen, Engineer Arindam Bhattacharya, Manjit Das, and BSF Company Commander Surender Singh were present during the evaluation. The team examined the damages of the Kamalasagar-Tarapur border haat infrastructure.
