To mark the 73rd birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tripura will organise Namo Vikas Utsav on September 17 at Kumarghat PWD Ground.
“The day-long programme will be held at Kumarghat PWD ground on September 17 next, where the Central ministers including the BJP leaders of the North-East region of the country will take part,” said MLA Bhagaban Chandra Das on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference here at Agartala, the MLA said that Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will inaugurate the programme, where artists from 28 states will perform in the programme to showcase their tradition and culture.
“The Namo Vikas Utsav will be held to mark the 73rd birth anniversary of PM Modi with a slogan – 2024 – Modi ji Once More,” he told reporters.
He said, “Series of programmes are planned including distribution of wheelchairs and other tools to at least 73 disabled persons, distribution of ration cards to 73 people belonging to BPL families, distribution of 73 Gitas among students and others. He also informed that 73 candles will be lightened in the evening of September 17 followed by the flying of 73 sky lanterns and this will be captured by drone cameras.
