Along with the nation, Tripura on Tuesday equally celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with huge enthusiasm.  From club to social organization, offices, houses and everyone participated in the rituals of Ganesh Puja.  Devotees since morning have started gathering at the pandals to offer prayers to Siddhi Vinayaka.

Meanwhile, huge rush is witnessed at the sweets shops.  Devotees were seen buying ladoos from the shops as Ladoos are considered as one of the special Prasad for ganesh puja.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also has greeted the people of the state, on his facebook Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday wrote, On the auspicious occasion of Shri Shri Ganesh Chaturthi, I convey my best wishes and congratulations to the people of the state.

On this auspicious day, I wish happiness, comfort and well-being of the people of the state at the feet of Bighnaharta Ganesh ji. Lord Ganesh’s homecoming is celebrated in the month of Bhadra, according to the Hindu Luni-Solar calendar, which typically falls in the months of August or September. The festival ends on the tenth day of bringing him home, to signify his return to Mount Kailasha to his parents Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. Of all the festivals in India, Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most colourful and exciting 10-day long celebrations. Ganeshotsav or Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated all over India with a lot of enthusiasm in order to commemorate Lord Ganesh’s birthday.
