Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday launched e-Cabinet system to promote the Digital India initiative of the Centre and said that initiatives have been taken to develop digital infrastructure in the state of Tripura.

After Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura is the fourth state to implement the e-cabinet system.

“Tripura is progressing in every field in order to make the Central Government’s Digital India’ campaign a success. The State Government has laid emphasis on expanding all possible measures to build digital infrastructure across the State,” Dr. Saha said.

He said that as part of digitization, the state government has decided to introduce e-office system in every department. Already out of 94 departments, 41 departments have made e-office system 100 percent effective which is truly commendable, he added.

The departments of the state government which have made the e-office system 100 percent effective as part of the initiative to run paperless offices were felicitated on Wednesday. Chief Minister Dr. Saha handed over certificates to the Director of each department.

Chief Secretary J K Sinha, Secretaries and other officials of various departments were present in the programme.
