Industry plays the key role in economic growth & employment generation. The state government has taken special steps to encourage the industrialists from various places for investing in Tripura’s industry sector, said chief minister Dr. Manik Saha while addressing in the inaugural ceremony of the new unit of G Cube Sticks Pvt. Ltd. & G Cube Ventures Pvt. Ltd. at Bamboo Park, R.K. Nagar on Friday.

Our government has been focusing on proper utilization of all the possibilities to develop new industries. Due to the peaceful atmosphere in the state, there is a possibility of industrial development. The state government has taken various schemes to exploit this potential. Many people are now interested in investing in the state, he added.

The Chief Minister said that this investment in bamboo-based industries in the state will not only strengthen the industrial sector of the state, but also increase the possibility of increasing the production of bamboo in the state. Tripura has 21 species of bamboo.

The state government has given priority to make the state plastic-free and environment-friendly. To achieve this state government is trying to build industries by utilizing the natural resources produced in the state. The current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes in vocal for locals. The government wants the youth of the state to become self-reliant by utilizing the resources of the state. This bamboo based factory will create employment opportunities along with the economic development of the state, he added.
