Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik on Friday chaired the quarterly District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting of South Tripura District at the conference hall of Circuit House, Belonia.
In the meeting Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik reviewed the progress of implementation of major developmental schemes of Govt of India in South Tripura District.
Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik also appealed to Minister for Cooperation, Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG), Welfare of Minorities Shukla Charan Noatia, MLAs of South Tripura District, Zilla Sabhadhipati, PRI Representatives and officers of various departments to achieve targets of all schemes so as to fullfill the vision of PM Shri Narendra Modi – ‘Sabaka Sath, Sabaka Vikas, Sabaka Vishwas & Sabaka Prayas’.
Pratima Bhowmik said that farmers should be encouraged to grow maize in South Tripura district. Moreover, importance should be given to animal husbandry and fisheries in the development of rural economy, she said in the meeting.
