Tripura to celebrate the traditional ‘Kali Puja‘ performing the rituals on the eve of Diwali – the festival of light at the state’s 500-year-old Tripura Sundari temple on November 12, 13 and 14 and for the first time, the puja of Tripura Sundari temple and Diwali Mela will be live-streamed across Tripura. Tripura Sundari temple is one of the fifty-one Hindu pithas of India, recognized as a holy and sacred place in Tripura.

Lighting works, decorations, thousands of food stalls along with the famous ‘peda’ counters are all set to welcome lakhs of devotees from far and wide who throng into the temple premises for a glimpse of the goddesses on the occasion of Diwali.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will inaugurate the three- day long fair surrounding the Diwali festival on November 12. Other cabinet ministers and administrative officials will remain present at the opening ceremony of the three- day long fair.

Police would be beefed up in the temple premises to avoid any untoward incident during the festival. For the safety of devotees, rescue team of Disaster Management, ambulances and Fire Service vehicles would be arranged.
