Tripura: Police arrests three drug peddlers
Tripura Police arrested three drug peddlers and seized 260 containers of heroin, Rs 98,800 cash, and one Steel rood (weapon) from Office tilla area under Bishalgarh Police Station on Wednesday.
The police stated that they received a crucial tip-off regarding one drug peddler, on the basis of the tip-off a police personnel from Bishalgarh Police Station raided the house of drug peddler Bapi Karmakar in office tilla area under Bishalgarh Police Station.
During the raid, police officials found 260 containers of heroin, Rs 98,800 cash and one Steel rood (weapon) from the house of drug peddler Bapi Karmakar. Police also arrested two of his subordinates Surajit Saha resident of Rautkhala and Riaz Mia resident of Karaimura from his home. Police also seized two bikes and one car from his house.
All the three accused were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
