Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder on Monday exuded confidence that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra will prove to be immensely motivational for the people to benefit from various welfare schemes designed to ensure their welfare and economic upliftment.

Addressing in the inaugural ceremony of Sushason Shibir as part of ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and Prati Ghare Sushason 2.0 campaign at North Zone Office, Shyamali Bazaar Bipani Bitan on Monday Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder said the people must ensure that no one is left out and the last man in the line is also benefitted as per the wish of the prime minister, Narendra Modi.

“The Yatra will go a long way in achieving the objectives, enabling the nation to be a developed country by the year 2047,”Mayor said, urging the people to take a pledge to take the campaign to its logical conclusion by being part of it. He said the nation is traversing towards faster progress and prosperity as per vision of the prime minister and the day is not far when dreams of common people come true.

He said that the way people are connecting with the Yatra shows their commitment to make India a developed nation. Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder handed over OBC certificate, Ayushman card, Aadhar card, Trade license during the Sushason Shibir. The ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ would connect every eligible person with public welfare schemes. The nationwide ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day on November 15. The Yatra involves direct contact with the common people, raising awareness among them and providing them access to sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable health services, clean drinking water, etc, he added.
