The state government is working with development oriented thinking in public welfare said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha after interacting with the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and Prati Ghare Sushason 2.0 campaign at the Community Hall of Suryamaninagar Gram Panchayat on Saturday.
The NDA Government under the leadership of PM Modi took significant steps for the transformation of India into a developed country by the year 2047 with due focus on inclusive growth and exuded confidence that it would reach the milestone. To ensure that no eligible beneficiary was left out of the slew of welfare schemes being implemented on a saturation basis, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was being organised to create awareness among them. This would ensure that the schemes reached the targeted sections down to the grass-root level, he observed.
“The contribution of all of us is necessary for this. For this purpose, ‘Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ was launched on Tribal Pride Day on November 15”, he remarked.
Before 2014, schemes were formulated in the country by looking at faces, and often these initiatives involved no rules and regulations. The agendas did not include the poor, common citizens, women, and youth. However, today, the government is extending the benefits of various welfare schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana and PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, CM Dr. Manik Saha further informed. He noted that these schemes are now providing benefits to the eligible people without any discrimination.
“The Yatra will go a long way in achieving the objectives, enabling the nation to be a developed country by the year 2047,” Chief Minister said, urging the people to take a pledge to take the campaign to its logical conclusion by being part of it. He said the nation is traversing towards faster progress and prosperity as per vision of the prime minister and the day is not far when dreams of common people come true.
Deputy Speaker Ramprasad Paul, Secretary of the Department of Information and Culture Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty and others were present.
