Former Tripura Chief Minister and the BJP candidate for the Tripura West Lok Sabha seat, Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday mocked at Congress-CPI(M) alliance of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc and claimed that the real communist and 4-time Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is not in favour of the alliance of the two parties and hence he escaped from campaigning for the I.N.D.I.A bloc candidates in Tripura.

Addressing a party gathering here at Agartala Rajnagar school ground Deb said, “I bet the CPI(M) leaders if they can make Manik Sarkar campaign for the Congress candidate. Manik Sarkar is not willing to cast his vote for the Congress nominee.”

He said that all the senior Congress and Communist leaders participated in a rally when Ashish Kumar Saha filed his nomination papers on Wednesday, but Manik Sarkar was not seen there.

Deb continued castigating both the CPI(M) and the Congress party over the sacking 10323 teachers in Tripura. He said, “Both the CPI(M) and the Congress is responsible for the sacking of 10323 teachers, because it was the Congress party which moved to the court against the illegal recruitment policy of the then Left front government.”

Deb urged the BJP workers to move to every CPI(M) voter and seek votes for the BJP for the ensuing Lok Sabha and by-elections. He said, “The Congress-CPI(M) alliance is simply a mockery as the families of the martyred CPI(M) leaders under the Congress’ terror tactics need to vote for the Congress candidate now.”

BJP candidate for the 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency by election Dipak Majumder, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury and others were also present.
