Odia Samaj Tripura celebrates foundation day of Odisha
The Odia Samaj Tripura organized a programme on Monday at Mukfadhara Auditoriun to celebrate foundation day of Odisha or Utkal Divas with performance by distinguished artists in Agartala. Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the programme.
Addressing in the inaugural ceremony Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that Odisha’s heritage, culture and arts are well known in the country and abroad. He also highlighted Odisha’s educational infrastructure, Odissi dance arts, Jagannath Temple in Puri, Surya Temple in Konark, Chilka Lake, Shimli Pal National Park.
Odisha was formed on April 1, 1936. Every year on this day, the contributions and sacrifices made by the people of Odisha during the struggle for statehood is remembered.
