Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and BJP candidate for the 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency Dipak Majumder on Thursday continued his door-to-door campaign for the ensuing election and visited Agartala Gedu Mia Masjid to exchange greetings with the Muslim brothers.
Hundreds of Muslims gathered at Agartala Gedu Mia Masjid on Thursday morning and offered namaaz (prayers) in a gesture of thanks giving at the end of the month-long fasting during Ramadan.
Interacting with the media persons during his door-to-door campaign, candidate Dipak Majumder said, “During my campaign, voters of Ramnagar constituency expressed their satisfaction over the work of AMC and the state government.”
“In view of the massive response from the voters, I believe that there will be a record this time in Ramnagar in the by-election, where people will cast their vote in favor of the BJP,” he told reporters.
“I will surely work for more development to the constituency and finish the pending works for the welfare of the people of Ramnagar,” he said and believed that people of 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency will put their trust in him and make him win the election by huge margin.
Dipak Majumder said, “BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought massive development to the people across the country.” “Modi ji has worked for the socio economic upliftment of the people in the country, he added.
