Pratima Bhoumik chairs review meeting of MPLADS projects
Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and MP, Tripura West LS Constituency Pratima Bhoumik today chaired a review meeting of MPLADS projects at the conference hall of DM & Collector, West Tripura District.
Union Minister of State, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and MP, Tripura West LS Constituency Pratima Bhoumik said that during the review meeting we will discuss about the works which were done in the past four years and how much money has been spent in these works and to implement the rest of the amount for the wellbeing of the people, she added.
DM & Collector of West Tripura District Debapriya Bardhan, Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dr. Shailesh Kumar Yadav and other officers were present in the review meeting of MPLADS projects.
MPLAD Scheme enables MPs to recommend works of developmental nature in their area for creation of durable community assets; based on the locally felt needs. Each MP is entitled for Rs. 5 Crore annually, which is released in two equal installments. Two percent of the entitlement is to be used for administrative expenses.
