1179 voters of 345 families left various parties and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, Member of Parliament (LS) Rebati Tripura and other leaders at Manu on Sunday.
BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee and Member of Parliament (LS) Rebati Tripura handed over the party flags to them in the joining ceremony.
Addressing in the joining ceremony BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said that the BJP-led government in the state and at the Centre have been working for the development of indigenous people and holistic development of the region instead of sectarian approach.
The Narendra Modi government scaled up various welfare schemes keeping the poor in focus and expedited their implementation. The Modi government scaled up schemes and enhanced speed to achieve targets so that they reached the last person in society, he added.
