Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday inaugurated smart classrooms in at least 752 schools and said that the government is committed to enhance technology-based education system in the state to cope with the progress of science.
The chief minister virtually inaugurated the smart classrooms under Samagra Shiksha here in a function at Agartala and said that technology-based smart classrooms will help students become smarter and cope up with the progress of science.
“These smart classrooms will consist of different modern machines including laptops, through which teachers will provide modern learning to the students,” he said, adding that earlier, students used to move abroad for higher education, but now the developing educational infrastructure of the state, students are being enabled to pursue their higher studies in the state itself.
He said, “Various government and private educational institutions including general degree college, university, law college, National Forensic College, medical college and dental college have been set up in the state presently. Initiatives will be taken up to set up education hub in the state in the future based on these.”
