‘Girls are equally important as boys are and no society can be developed leaving the girls behind’ said Minister of Finance, Planning and Coordination, Information Technology Pranajit Singha Roy after inaugurating the two day long district level Kishori Utkarsh Manch under Samagra Shiksha organized by District education office Udaipur, Gomati District Tripura at Rajarshi Multicultural Hall on Thursday.
Addressing in the programme Minister of Finance, Planning and Coordination, Information Technology Pranajit Singha Roy said Girls today are no longer behind. Women’s excellence is now recognized in every field of society. From the president of the country to the space scientist, girls are everywhere. Girls are now participating in the country’s management with competence, he added. He also said that in this year’s budget it has been announced to give free scooty to the first 100 students in the higher secondary examination.
The journey of Kishori Utkarsh Manch started from 2016 under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The girl students having extraordinary talent hardly get scope to share their success story with others. Kishori Utkarsh Manch is a District level platform where the girl students having extraordinary caliber can expose and showcase their talents which will ultimately help them to enhance their excellence, he added.
