One dead, three injured in accident
In a tragic road mishap, a 23 year-old person died on the spot and three students were seriously injured after their bike collided with a vehicle at Machmara area under Pecharthal police station on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Malakar (23) resident of Fatikroy.
It was reported that, a motor bike bearing number MZ05 4958 while coming towards Machmara area dashed a vehicle bearing number TR02 K 1601 which was going towards krishnatilla. As a result the rider of the motor bike Rajesh Malakar (23) died on the spot and the three pillion riders received serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle fled away after the accident.
The locals rushed to the spot and immediately contacted the police and fire service personnel. After getting the information police personnel from Pecharthal police station and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and took the injured to Machmara primary health centre. They were referred to the Unakoti District Hospital in Kailashahar. The conditions of the three injured students are critical.
A specific case has been registered in this regard and police have seized the vehicle also.
