Tripura: BSF-BGB hold talks on strengthening security along border
A Coordination meeting between the Nodal officers of BSF and Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) is held on Saturday at Sabroom Maitri bridge to ensure domination and security along the Indo- Bangladesh border particularly in the inhospitable terrain on the eastern border of Bangladesh side.
Indian delegation was led by Saroj Kumar Singh, PMG, PMMS, Deputy Inspector General, Nodal officer BSF Tripura Frontier and BGB delegation was led by S M Shafiqur Rahman,psc, G+ Director, Nodal officer South East Region, Chattogram. According to the press communique of the BSF, modalities for better coordination and domination were discussed in the meeting on Saturday. Meetings at such platforms to address the issues to improve the cooperation, mutual trust and understating between the two border guarding forces will certainly go a long way, it added.
