Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday inaugurated the two day long photography exhibition organized by the Tripura Photo Journalist’s Association (TPJA) on the theme of Tripura Tourism to mark the World Photography Day at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan premises.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that the state government has given special importance to the development of tourism sector. Our aim is to develop the tourism sector of our Tripura state in mission mode. The number of tourists domestic and abroad is also increasing, he added.
A picture is worth a thousand words” is an adage in multiple languages meaning that complex and sometimes multiple ideas can be conveyed by a single still image, which conveys its meaning or essence more effectively than a mere verbal description, the chief minister said.
The worldwide celebration of World Photography Day takes place on August 19. It is a special day to celebrate the power of photography to capture and communicate the world around us. From the iconic shots that capture the beauty of nature to the candid moments that tell the stories of everyday life, photography has the power to move us and inspire us to take action.
