Our government has been giving the highest priority to improving the Healthcare system at every level. As part of our continued efforts, the establishment of Agartala Government Dental College has been possible within a very short period. Now, our responsibility is to maintain it’s standard, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while addressing in the inaugural session of two-day state-level training programme of Dental Surgeons organized by National Oral Health Programme, National Health Mission, Tripura in collaboration with the Indian Dental Association, Tripura State Branch at Pragna Bhavan, on Friday.
The BJP-led Tripura government is working for overall development including the development of the Healthcare system which is a priority sector of the present state government. The state government is fully committed to the development of medical services and the enhancement of overall healthcare infrastructure in the state, and in line with this commitment, the government has significantly increased the budget allocation for the health sector. Overall, the government aims to develop Tripura as a health hub,” said Dr. Saha.
The state government is diligently working towards improving the health infrastructure. Currently, there are two medical colleges and hospitals in the state. The process of establishing another private medical college is underway, he added.
