Body of newborn boy found floating in Khowai river

Body of a newborn boy was found floating in banks of Khowai river at Dashamighat area of Rajnagar in Teliamura on Saturday.
After being alerted by a 35 year old man who was on his way to fishing, police personnel from Teliamura police station rushed to the spot and secured the body of a newborn boy.
The police stated that they have contacted the hospitals in the neighbourhood to ascertain if any male child was delivered in their facilities recently. Further investigation is going on, said police.
