Along with the rest of the nation the 123rd Birth Anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was observed across the State through different programmes. As a part of it a programme was organized at BJP State Party Office in Krishna Nagar on the occasion of 123rd Birth Anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
During the programme Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Tinku Roy, Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Animal Resource Development, Fisheries Sudhangshu Das, MLA Kalyani Roy and other BJP leaders paid floral tribute to the portrait of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
Speaking on the occasion Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Tinku Roy said, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee resigned from the Union Cabinet upholding ‘EkPradhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Sambidhan” principle.
The 123rd Birth Anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was celebrated in different parts of the State. In all the district and sub-divisional towns as well as in rural areas the anniversary was observed and BJP leaders and local people paid tributes to the founder of the Jana Sangh.
Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was born on July 6, 1901, in Kolkata. He was a prominent Indian politician, barrister, and academician, whose role in Indian politics at the time came to play a role in shaping events in the country for years to come.
